Hamilton gives to patients and community during National Health Center Week

FLINT, MI – The idea of giving to patients and the Flint community was on the minds of Hamilton Community Health Center during National Health Center Week 2018. The theme, “Celebrating Health Centers: Home of America’s Health Care Heroes” is just a continuation of what Hamilton and its staff does everyday.

Monday, August 13, Hamilton celebrated our over 27-thousand patients. Popcorn was served at each clinic site and patients got the chance to win gift cards to local restaurants.

Hamilton partnered with the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan to provide patients and residents with fresh produce during the Food Giveaway on Tuesday, August 14. People lined the building of the Main Clinic as the food was delivered. NBC25 and FOX66 reporter Courtney Wheaton provided live updates throughout the morning on the news.

Carriage Town Ministries allowed Hamilton and other community partners to give out needed items and resources during our Homeless Outreach Day on Thursday, August 16.

To conclude National Health Center Week, Hamilton invited the Flint community to its Main Clinic for Family Fun Day on Friday, August 17. Kids had fun in bounce houses and got their face painted. There was also free lunch, health and community resources, and free giveaways. Z92.7 WDZZ broadcasted live at Family Fun Day and gave out prizes. NBC25/FOX66 also shared the event during the evening news.
