Celebrate National Health Center Week with Us – Free Events, Fun, and Resources for All

It’s that time of year again – National Health Center Week is here, and your Hamilton Community Health Network Outreach Team has been hard at work planning a week full of free, family-friendly events across our clinics. Whether you’re a long-time patient or just curious about what Hamilton has to offer, this is a perfect time to stop by, connect, and celebrate community health with us!

Each event is free, open to the public, and packed with food, fun, and helpful resources – and we can't wait to see you there

This year’s theme, “Past, Present & Future,” shines a spotlight on the powerful legacy of health centers and their role in delivering accessible care to millions.

What’s Happening?

Hamilton will host four FREE public events across Flint and Whitmore Lake, each filled with services, family fun, and opportunities to connect with community support.

Hope & Health Day – Monday, August 4

Location: Center for Hope, 812 Root St, Flint

Focused on supporting unhoused neighbors and those experiencing housing instability. What to expect:

  • Free taco lunch, hygiene kits, socks, underwear, and health screenings
  • Live music, and warm community connection
  • 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Family Fun Fest – Tuesday, August 5 - 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Location: Whitmore Lake Clinic, 10 Jennings Rd

A family-friendly day filled with energy and excitement. Highlights include:

  • Bounce house and Kona Ice treats
  • Local vendor tables and wellness resources

Healthy Harvest – Wednesday, August 6 - 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Location: North Pointe Clinic, 5710 Clio Rd, Flint

Celebrating healthy living with fresh produce and playful wellness education. What’s in store:

  • Farm-fresh fruits and veggies
  • Games, and free Kona Ice treats

Family Fun Day – Friday, August 8 - 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Location: Main Clinic, 2900 N. Saginaw St, Flint

Our biggest event of the week—designed to bring everyone together. Enjoy:

  • Burgers, hotdogs, giveaways (TVs, bikes, gift cards & more!)
  • Informational booths, entertainment, and interactive fun
