Why Get a Flu Vaccine?
Influenza, commonly called the flu, is more than just a bad cold. It can cause serious illness and lead to complications, especially for older adults, young children and people with certain health conditions.
Getting vaccinated each year helps lower your risk of getting sick and can reduce the chances of serious illness if you do catch the flu. It also helps protect the people around you who may be more vulnerable.
Protect Yourself and Someone You Care About
You don’t have to make a doctor’s appointment or travel far to take this important step. Choose the Neighborhood Wellness Center event that works best for you and stop by!
Better yet, share this information with a friend, family member or neighbor who could use a free flu shot. Sometimes a little reminder is all it takes to help someone take care of their health.
