National Health Center Week and Family Fun Day

Our 2022 National Health Center Week was filled with events that included community outreach and a family fun day. Hamilton Flint, located within Center for Hope, offered haircare, laundry services, showers, vaccines, food and more for community members who are struggling with finding shelter. McFarlan Home senior living center, which is home to a Hamilton clinic, hosted a Brunch & Learn and a visit with Senator Debbie Stabenow, who announced the passing of the Inflation Reduction Act. The Inflation Reduction Act lowers healthcare costs for prescription drugs, insulin, and health insurance, which impacts many Hamilton patients.

On Friday we closed the week with a Family Fun Day. After a few years of hiatus, we were excited to welcome back several hundred patients and neighbors to our Main clinic for fun, food, and giveaways. We were joined by over 50 community organizations and vendors, such as Molina Healthcare and HAP. Fantastic food was provided by several area vendors, including B Dog’s hotdogs, Kona Ice, and DJ Chef Nate, who featured his specialty banana pudding for dessert.

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to our National Health Center Week Sponsors who made it possible for Hamilton to host our annual week of events: HAP, Molina Healthcare, Genesee Health Plan, United Healthcare, United Way, Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, ELGA Credit Union, Saginaw Bay Underwriters, Greater Flint Health Coalition, 3Sixty Interactive, Hurley Foundation, Ennis Center for Children, Mutual of America Financial Group, and Z92.7 WDZZ.

Thank you to everyone who helped us plan, participated and worked the events for National Health Center Week!
